Disposable pen on paper.

I tried drawing a schiavona as the sword, but I don't know how accurate it came out.

I've noticed that you spend more time and detail on the outlines of your lineart. Do you go over it with a special pen when you finish? I need to improve my own technique so as to not fall behind with you guys :p

All inking is done with a simple, inexpensive, Bic Crystal ballpoint pen.
It's the only type of pen I have at home. :(

I do spend lengthy effort on the outline, as you pointed out; usually making very strong, thick, and deep lines that take up alot of time. When I ink my sketches, it looks more like I'm chiselling into rock rather than drawing, since I have to make such bold lines over and over again on the same spot.

I wouldn't know about improving technique, but I do think that you should draw more often. I highly enjoy your work, after all.

Thanks for the comments., as always.

Back in the day I had a nice Verreal Pen that you would use India Ink with and refill as the occassion arrises. However the pen was broken during a move and ink went everywhere so I've not had one since. I would spend hours inking my lineart to get that bold yet clean outline.

I'm trying to draw more these days, but its rough because I cut a nerve in my finger in a work-related accident. Also, trying to find the right inspiration and quality time has been something of a rarity lately.
